Wildlife projects in the Middle East

CABWIM has opened an office in Iran where expert veterinarians and wildlife scientists are able to assist in a wide range of topics either in Iran or in other countries in the Middle East.

Our main themes relate to:

(1) innovative, sustainable solutions to human-animal conflicts (bird strikes, agricultural damage, nuisance colonies, livestock predation) amongst others using sensor technology,

(2) veterinary assessments and treatments,

(3) epidemiology and monitoring including GIS-based alerting systems,

(4) statistics and environmental assessment,

(5) wildlife education and monitoring, and

(6) animal welfare and housing.

We offer a wide network, organize workshops and provide expert research and/or advise fitting to your needs, in particular with respect to birds and mammals, including cetaceans, seals and other sea mammals, and large carnivores.

Our main drive is to innovate and develop sustainable solutions and to contribute to bring together expertise, interest and cooperation between Europe and the Middle East supporting awareness about animal needs, wildlife protection and education.
